Burgundy......one of the staple colors of Fall. It's such a beautiful and rich color. Definitely a must have for your fall wardrobe. It's definitely one of my favorite colors to wear during the season. In this post I'll be sharing with you all this beautiful burgundy top from Amazon and how I styled it. This blouse can be styled many ways. I decided to go with my signature style. I paired the top with a nice pair of jeans and my favorite leopard mules. This month I took my first solo staycation. It was a self care trip. I took this trip to have some time to myself. I think everyone should experience a solo staycation. It is good for our wellness and mental health. I stayed at the Holiday Inn Experience. I booked a nice suite. It was clean and comfortable. They had a great breakfast with different food selections. They had a very beautiful pool. I had some fun in the sun and went for a little swim. I lucked up and had the whole pool to myself. I've stayed at this hotel before and would definitely stay there again. On my trip I did some much needed self care. I meditated, journaled, read, napped and took a nice bubble bath. Hey Sweethearts Today I'm sharing with you all my bath and body works semi annual sale haul. The sale ended yesterday. In my honest opinion this year's sale felt underwhelming for me. I haven't felt like this since the sale in 2020 during the pandemic. I am happy that I did find some goodies. I was disappointed that I wasn't able to get the iced lemon poundcake lotion to go with the spray. When I did my online order it was sold out. It's all good though. Happy Juneteenth Everyone Today is the day we celebrate Juneteenth. On June 19th, 1865 slaves in Texas were told they were free. People celebrated this holiday for a century and a half. It became a federal holiday in 2021. The day is celebrated by festivals,bbqs, family gatherings and learning about the holiday. It's a day to remember where we came from,where we are and where we are going as black people. Below I have visuals of a Juneteenth outfit I put together. Today is another important day of the year, it's Father's Day. Today we celebrate all of wonderful fathers,step fathers and father figures and I'm sending a beautiful prayer out for them. In memory of all the fathers that are no longer with us, I'm sending out a special prayer for them and their love ones. Fathers are very important. They are leaders,providers and protectors. Often times fathers don't get the respect or love they deserve. They don't get the recognition that they should. Fathers are truly blessings. I am so thankful and grateful for my father. As old as I am there isn't anything my dad wouldn't do for me. No matter how old I get I will always be my dad's little girl or in his words his "Baby Woman". Saturday,May 20th On our last day of our baecation we went for a walk,made breakfast,went to international mall and spent the night in. Below are visuals & details on our day. As we made breakfast,we listened to r&b music and danced in the kitchen together. International Mall After breakfast we took a little nap. After our nap we went to the International Mall. That was a task because it was raining and a lot of the roads were closed because of construction. The mall is also near the airport,the Raymond James stadium so it's naturallly a lot of traffic in that area. It was extra traffic because there was a concert happening that night at the stadium.
